LOFOTEN ART EVENTS offers guided creative painting experiences designed around enjoyment, creativity, and connection with the destination.
A typical Art Event lasts approximately 3 hours.
The experience is conducted primarily in English and German. French may be available upon prior agreement.
For regular/open Art Events, participants are generally 12 years and older. Children under 12 may participate only by prior agreement with the organizer.
All painting materials required for the workshop are provided. Participants create their own painting to take home.
The exact format, duration, food and beverage arrangements, venue, and other elements may vary depending on the specific event.
4. Open Art Events
Open Art Events are public events where individual participants or smaller groups may book available places through the official booking channel.
The date, venue, availability, participant capacity, and price are stated at the time of booking.
A booking for an open Art Event is binding once completed through the official booking channel and payment has been received.
5. Private & Custom Group Events
Private Art Events can be arranged for groups looking for a private, creative experience.
Private events are individually planned and may be adapted to the group's requirements, including the preferred date, group size, venue, food and beverages, and overall format.
As a general guideline:
Minimum group size: 4 participants
Maximum group size: approximately 15 participants
Larger groups may be considered upon individual request.
The venue for a private event is selected according to the size and requirements of the group and the availability of suitable collaboration partners in the Lofoten area. This may include restaurants, accommodation providers, or other suitable venues.
The organizer may work with different venues and partners, and therefore no particular venue is guaranteed unless it has been specifically confirmed in writing for the booking.
6. Private Group Pricing
Private group events are individually quoted.
The total price depends on the specific arrangements and requirements of the event, including factors such as:
number of participants;
venue;
food;
non-alcoholic beverages;
alcoholic beverages, where applicable;
additional services or special arrangements.
A final price will be communicated to the booking party before the booking is confirmed.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the quoted price applies only to the services and arrangements specifically stated in the offer or invoice.
7. Booking & Payment
Open Art Events
Open Art Event bookings are confirmed through the official booking channel once the required payment has been received.
Prices displayed at the time of booking include guided instruction and the painting materials required for the workshop, unless otherwise stated.
Private Group Events
Private group bookings are arranged directly with the organizer.
The booking party will receive an invoice for the agreed amount.
Full payment is required in advance.
The private event is considered confirmed only once full payment has been received.
A date or venue is not considered definitively reserved until payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Cancellation by Participants or Private Groups
Private Group Events
Payment for a private group event is non-refundable.
Once payment has been received, no refund will be provided if the private group cancels the event, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
This includes cancellations due to changes in travel plans, illness, changes in group size, weather affecting the group's travel plans, or other circumstances affecting the participants.
Requests to change the date of a private event are not guaranteed and are subject to availability and the organizer's agreement.
If a date change is agreed, additional costs may apply depending on arrangements already made with venues, suppliers, or other partners.
Open Art Events
For open Art Events, the cancellation and refund conditions stated at the time of booking apply. Unless otherwise expressly stated, participant cancellations are non-refundable.
9. Cancellation by the Organizer
The organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an event when necessary, including due to insufficient participation, unforeseen circumstances, operational reasons, venue issues, or circumstances beyond the organizer's reasonable control.
If the organizer cancels an event and no suitable alternative date is agreed, participants will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the event.
The refund is limited to payments made directly for the LOFOTEN ART EVENTS event. The organizer is not responsible for additional costs incurred by participants, such as travel, accommodation, transportation, or other expenses, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes to Private Events
For private events, the organizer and booking party may agree on specific arrangements concerning the date, venue, number of participants, food, beverages, and other elements.
Any significant changes requested after the booking has been confirmed are subject to availability and agreement by the organizer.
Changes may result in additional costs, particularly where arrangements with external venues, restaurants, accommodation providers, caterers, or other suppliers have already been made.
The organizer will communicate any additional costs before they are incurred where reasonably possible.
11. Changes in Participant Numbers
For private group bookings, the price is based on the number of participants agreed upon in the booking or stated on the invoice.
Once the booking has been confirmed and paid, a reduction in the number of participants does not automatically entitle the booking party to a refund.
Requests to add participants are subject to the maximum capacity of the venue and the specific event arrangements and may result in an additional charge.
12. Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule an event by participants or private groups are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.
The organizer is not obligated to provide an alternative date.
If a rescheduling request is accepted, the organizer may need to adjust the arrangements with the selected venue or other suppliers. Any resulting additional costs may be charged to the booking party.
13. Venue & Location
LOFOTEN ART EVENTS does not operate from one fixed venue.
Events may take place at different locations in Lofoten, particularly in the Moskenes area, depending on the event format, group size, availability, and arrangements with local collaboration partners.
For private events, the organizer selects and confirms a suitable venue based on the agreed requirements.
The organizer reserves the right to change the venue when reasonably necessary for operational reasons, provided that a reasonably comparable alternative is offered where possible.
A venue change does not automatically entitle participants to a refund if the overall event can still be provided as agreed.
14. Food & Beverages
Food and beverages may be included in certain Art Event experiences depending on the event and the selected venue.
Where food or beverages are provided by an external restaurant, accommodation provider, caterer, or other partner, that provider is responsible for the preparation and service of the food and beverages.
Participants must communicate any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements directly to the relevant venue or provider in advance.
The organizer will communicate relevant information to the venue where appropriate but cannot guarantee that every dietary requirement can be accommodated.
The organizer is not responsible for the preparation, quality, availability, or suitability of food and beverages provided by external partners, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
Alcoholic beverages, where included or available, are served and handled by the relevant licensed venue or provider in accordance with applicable Norwegian laws and regulations.
15. Participant Responsibility
Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward the organizer, other participants, venue staff, collaboration partners, and the venue itself.
Participants are responsible for following reasonable instructions given during the event, particularly instructions relating to the use of materials, equipment, and the venue.
The organizer reserves the right to refuse or end participation in cases of seriously disruptive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour. In such circumstances, no refund will normally be provided, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
16. Clothing, Personal Belongings & Materials
Painting materials are provided by LOFOTEN ART EVENTS.
Participants are encouraged to wear suitable clothing for a creative painting activity.
The organizer is not responsible for damage to clothing, personal belongings, or other property caused by paint or art materials, except where such responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings during the event.
17. Liability
Participation in LOFOTEN ART EVENTS is voluntary and at the participant's own responsibility.
The organizer will take reasonable measures to provide a safe and professionally organized experience.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the organizer is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including additional travel, accommodation, transportation, or other costs arising from cancellation, changes, delays, or circumstances connected with the event.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable Norwegian law.
18. Artistic Outcome
LOFOTEN ART EVENTS is a creative experience and is not intended to constitute professional art education or training.
The focus is on the creative process and the experience rather than technical perfection.
No particular artistic result is guaranteed, and the organizer does not guarantee the quality, durability, or longevity of the artwork created by participants.
19. Photography & Media
Photos and/or short videos may be taken during LOFOTEN ART EVENTS for documentation and promotional purposes, including use on the LOFOTEN ART EVENTS website and social media channels.
Participants who do not wish to appear in photographs or videos should inform the organizer before the event.
Where consent is legally required for a particular use, the organizer will obtain the necessary consent in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
20. Force Majeure
The organizer is not responsible for failure to provide or changes to an event caused by circumstances beyond the organizer's reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include, for example, extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, transportation disruptions, venue closure, serious illness, or other unforeseen events that make it impossible or unreasonable to conduct the event as planned.
Where reasonably possible, the organizer will offer an alternative date.
If the organizer cancels the event and no alternative arrangement is agreed, participants will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the event.
21. Minimum Participation for Open Events
Certain open Art Events may require a minimum number of participants in order to take place.
If the required minimum is not reached, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event.
Participants will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled event.
No additional compensation for travel, accommodation, transportation, or other expenses will be provided, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This minimum-participation provision does not apply to private group events where the group booking has already been confirmed.
22. Marketing & Promotional Materials
Information about LOFOTEN ART EVENTS is primarily communicated through the official website and social media channels, including Instagram.
For collaboration partners and tour operators, the organizer may provide digital or printed promotional materials, such as photographs, flyers, posters, or other marketing material, subject to availability.
Any use of supplied marketing materials must be consistent with the information and branding provided by LOFOTEN ART EVENTS.
23. Booking Information & Communication
The booking party is responsible for providing accurate contact information and relevant information required to organize the event.
For private group bookings, the designated main contact is responsible for communication and coordination on behalf of the group.
Important booking information, including invoices, confirmations, changes, and cancellation notices, may be communicated by e-mail.
24. Applicable Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with Norwegian law.
Any disputes arising in connection with LOFOTEN ART EVENTS shall be handled in accordance with applicable Norwegian law and the competent Norwegian authorities and courts.
25. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect to the extent permitted by applicable law.
26. Amendments to These Terms & Conditions
The organizer reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions when necessary.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to a booking are those in force and made available to the participant or booking party at the time of booking, unless otherwise required by law.
